Ken is a Partner at Optimus SBR - an independent Canadian management consulting firm - where he leads the health, government and public sector practice. Prior to joining Optimus SBR, Ken held leadership roles in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. He has an Executive PhD from ESCP Business School.

Ken is a Partner at Optimus SBR where he leads the health, government and public sector practice. He was an Assistant Deputy Minister with the Ontario Government and was the Bursar & Chief Administrative Officer at Victoria University, Toronto, and Vice President, Administration at Brock University. In the private sector, Ken led Canadian public affairs at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. An experienced nonprofit leader, he served as Vice President, Advocacy, Research, and Healthcare at Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Ken's experience extends internationally, having advised on policing in the Mayorβs Office at London City Hall and supported public sector regulatory reform at the UK Governmentβs Better Regulation Executive. He began his public service career in law enforcement as a constable with the Peel Regional Police.
Ken holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and contributes his experience to various boards. He currently serves on the boards of Alterna Savings, Alterna Bank, ALS Canada, Pathstone Foundation, Open For Business and the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority.
